Stingray Level (School-Age Beginner)

Beginner level course focusing on the introduction of fundamental aquatic skills including proper breath control under the water through assisted and voluntary submerging and retrieving objects below the surface and submerged. Additional skills taught include jumping in the water and returning to the wall unassisted, basic front stroke with face in water taking regular breaths as needed and using big over water arm strokes independently, back floating, and basic back stroke unassisted. Emphasis placed on building strength and stamina to swim both the front and back strokes independently as required to advance toward the Dolphin Level (School-Age Intermediate).
