Parent and Toddler Advanced Level

1-3 Years
A water enrichment course where toddlers are already comfortable in the water environment and with submerging and breath holding. Focus is on enhancing aquatic skills already learned with a parent or trusted adult in the water for continued support and encouragement. Fundamental aquatic skills are progressed to include voluntary submerging, holding the breath under water, combining paddling of arms and kicking of legs for movement through the water independently, entering and exiting the water unassisted, jumping in the water and returning to the wall unassisted, swimming from parent to instructor and parent to wall independently, assisted and unassisted back floating and introduction of swim float swim technique. Emphasis placed on independent readiness (without parent in water) with the ability to maintain focus/attention for a 30-minute duration as required for the Preschool level program. Children must wear swim diapers if not yet potty trained. This is not an infant survival course. Prerequisites: Successful completion and graduation from Parent and Infant/Toddler Beginner Level or equivalence of skills. Class Maximum Instructor to Parent/Student Ratio- 1:8
